Terms of Service

CareerEVATE provides AI-powered career services for senior professionals, including:

• ATS Score Analysis: Automated analysis of resume text against applicant tracking system criteria, resulting in a scored report with specific improvement recommendations.
• Resume Optimization: AI-assisted rewriting of resume content to improve ATS performance and executive positioning.
• LinkedIn Profile Writing: AI-assisted LinkedIn profile copy optimized for recruiter search visibility.
• Executive Bio Writing: Professional biography drafting for board presentations, speaking engagements, and executive profiles.
• Board-Ready Profile: Comprehensive positioning documents for board of directors candidacy.

Services are delivered digitally. Deliverables are AI-powered and human-reviewed. Final responsibility for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of deliverables lies with you.

CareerEVATE's products are AI-powered and human-reviewed. This means:

• Analysis, scoring, and written content are generated using third-party large language models (LLMs) running on secure infrastructure, with human review of paid deliverables before delivery.
• Our team reviews AI outputs for quality, accuracy, and appropriateness before delivery to paid customers.
• AI-assisted content may contain errors, factual inaccuracies, or outputs that do not perfectly reflect your professional history. You are responsible for reviewing all deliverables before use.
• ATS scores are estimates based on algorithmic analysis. They are not guarantees of how any specific employer's ATS system will process your resume. Actual ATS system behavior varies by employer and platform.
• CareerEVATE does not guarantee job interviews, callbacks, or employment outcomes. Career results depend on many factors outside our control.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorization.
• One person may hold one account. Sharing account access is not permitted.

Refund terms:

• Refunds apply to non-delivery only: if CareerEVATE fails to deliver the documents you purchased, you are entitled to a full refund.
• Dissatisfaction with delivered work is addressed through revisions, not refunds.
• Refunds are not provided for change of mind, misuse of the Service, or violation of these Terms.
• ATS Score Analysis reports are provided at no charge and are not eligible for refunds (not a paid product).
• Stripe's refund processing may take 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Submit content belonging to another person without their consent
• Use the Service to generate content for fraudulent job applications (misrepresenting qualifications)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software designed to disrupt the Service

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• CAREEREVATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
• CAREEREVATE DOES NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC CAREER OUTCOMES INCLUDING JOB INTERVIEWS, OFFERS, SALARY INCREASES, OR EMPLOYMENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. For any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, you agree to first contact us at info@careerevate.com to seek an informal resolution. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property violations.

Either party may terminate the relationship under these Terms at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, disclaimers, and dispute resolution) will survive.
